The compact runner bean plant grow to just 3 feet tall producing a mix of red, white and pink flowers giving an ornamental focus too. 15cm long delicious runner beans grow and continue to flower and crop the more they are harvested. Its 'bigger' brother and sister are Runner Bean Firestorm and Moonlight which were of the worlds first self fertile British bred beans on the market. Runner beans are not self fertile and poor crops could be achieved in some summers. A natural cross with self fertile French beans produced delicious runner beans with the self fertile characteristics of a French bean.
